Abstract
Editors' Note Clare Anderson and Kellie Moss It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Bruce Tindall (23 April 1956 - 17 July 2021). Bruce worked as copy editor of the Journal of Colonialism and Colonial History for almost a decade. He was a true professional, rigorous and meticulous, and did a great job of liaising with us and the journal's many authors. Bruce was also a talented writer and poet in his own right, and a lifelong learner with a wide range of interests spanning computer science, linguistics, and cooking. We will miss Bruce greatly. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Schneewind, and daughter, Leonora Tindall.
