Abstract

The problems the university investigator faces in a commercial world are perhaps best defined as matters of ethics. Whether he likes it or not, the moment he undertakes to introduce change in an organization, the researcher has assumed a professional responsibility. He can no longer plead the inviolability of the ivy-covered walls. He has to face up to the limitations on his actions imposed by the ethics of his profession, which in the field of applied anthropology are defined by the Society's Code of Ethics.
