Abstract
I was contacted the other day by a disgruntled mental health nurse. He felt we have been too critical of professionals in recent editions of MHP, citing our coverage of the David Bennett inquiry as an example. But the final straw had been a short news item in which service user Premila Trivedi claimed that ‘crash teams’ get a ‘sexual high’ along with an adrenaline rush when called to wards to restrain patients (7, 6, 5).
