IntroductionThe conference ICAME'18 is a biennial international conference in the field of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering (TKMCE), Kerala, India. It is a notable event which brings together academia, researchers, engineers and students from various regions making the conference a perfect platform to share experience, foster collaborations across industry and academia, and evaluate emerging technologies across the globe.2. Inaugural SessionThe conference was inaugurated by Dr S Somanath, Director Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO). The meeting was presided by Dr Shahal Hassan Musaliar, President TKM College Trust.Dr Normah Binth Mohammed Ghazali, Professor, Malayasian Technologial University, Malaysia and Prof Kanchan Chouwdhary, Professor, IIT Kharagpur offered felicitations. Dr Mohammed Sadhikh, Organising Secretary presented conference rationale. Jb TK Jalaluddin Musaliar, Treasurer TKM College Trust, Dr S Ayoob, Principal, Dr K K Abdul Rasheed Head of Department, Dr S Jose Co Chair delivered complimentary speech.
