Abstract

Nurse pracitioners will be none too pleased with the UKCC’s interim report on the advanced practitioner level of nursing. Although the Council has yet to finalise its work on the advanced level of practice, the growing consensus appears to be towards a ‘consultant nurse’ who is assessed by a panel of peers similar to that adopted by the medical royal colleges.
