Abstract

It is with great pleasure that the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (Unidroit) presents the new series of the Uniform Law Review, which will henceforth be issued as an Oxford University Press publication. Established under the auspices of the League of Nations, Unidroit is the oldest international organization devoted to harmonizing and unifying substantive rules of private law. In nearly 90 years of activity, Unidroit has prepared numerous international conventions, model laws, principles and legal guides which, whether adopted by Unidroit or later developed by other organizations, have become true landmarks of global uniform law.
