He is presently Professor and Associate Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatric Nephrology and is a Fellow in the College of Physicians of Philadelphia and the American Academy of Pediatrics. His many other accomplishments, too numerous to mention here, all testify to his dedication to the practice of medicine and more particularly pediatric medicine. We at the publishing offices know Dr. Cornfeld as an editor who has brought with him a sense of vitality that we know will reflect in the journal. We know him, too, as an editor with whom we will work to publish a journal which we will be proud of. As did Janus, we look backward and forward at the same time. To Dr. Cornfeld, we say we are happy you have joined us. The Publisher
