Abstract

Dear Delegate, On behalf of the local organizing committee, I would like to warmly welcome you to the 15th Annual Conference of the European Society of Domestic Animal Reproduction (ESDAR), organized in Antalya, Turkey, from 15 to 17 September 2011. In close collaboration with ESDAR, the Turkish Veterinary Gynecology Society welcomes all attendees to this wonderful city at the east Mediterranean seacoast. Scientists and veterinarians from about 50 different countries all around Europe and the world will gather to discuss the most current concepts in the broad field of animal reproduction. ESDAR board members and the local organizing committee have made an effort to make the conference programme as diverse as possible in both basic and applied research topics. There will be six plenary talks by distinguished scientists in their respective field, covering a broad range of topics from gene expression in embryos to immunology of pregnancy, from dairy cattle management to the establishment of pregnancy in pigs and the use of biotechnology in understanding gamete function. A set of workshops are lined up to stimulate productive discussions in applied research. Scientists will also contribute by presenting their recent research in oral and poster sessions. It is our hope that the meeting will stimulate sharing of the latest scientific knowledge and developments in the field of animal reproduction. With the financial help of our generous sponsors, we expect this meeting to be a great success. The conference venue at the Gloria Golf Resort Hotel Belek is promising a great time that you will not forget for years to come. None. Best regards, Prof. Dr. Tayfur Bekyürek Chair of the Local Organizing Committee
