Abstract

First paragraphNormally book reviews are placed in the respective section in Intervention. This issue is, with good reason, an exception to the rule. The collective volume »Macroeconomic Theory and Macroeconomic Pedagogy«, edited by Giuseppe Fontana and Mark Setterfield, attracted such interest that we decided to reserve far more than the usual room for discussion by dealing with it in the form of a Special Forum. In the book, several authors are preoccupied with current developments in macroeconomic theory, especially the models of the New Consensus, criticise and develop these models further, at a level that makes them accessible for students. Two detailed reviews of the book are followed by a reply from the editors of the volume.
