Abstract
Little did I know when I agreed to take over the book review column for this Magazine, more than 16 years ago, that I would still be writing reviews today! About this time of the year, in 1998, our first son was born. Needless to say, my wife was not at all happy when I told her that I had just accepted a volunteer position writing book reviews for a technical magazine, which would require many hours of work to get established and a few hours every week thereafter. What she heard was that I would have less time to change diapers and take care of a newborn! Yet here I am, still writing reviews and enjoying the huge breath of technical information acquired over these years by reviewing so many books and the satisfaction of a published review.
