Abstract
The Magazine of Housing and Sustainable Communities is a space for dissemination of the original scientific and technological knowledge in housing, urban development, public policies and sustainable communities, among other related topics, considered complex objects of study, whose processes are part of the city and the territory, so that they can be reinterpreted from different perspectives: from the industrial sector, as a fundamental human right and as an opportunity to contribute to sustainability at urban and territorial scales. Its approach is innovative, plural, experimental and multidisciplinary, in addition to being part of the editorial strategy of the National Housing and Sustainable Communities Laboratory Conacyt.

Caso de estudio: El Jordán, Tonalá, Jalisco”, fue elaborado por Edelmira Rodríguez Morales, aborda la problemática de la vivienda que se construye en las periferias urbanas, así como los efectos ambientales y sociales que ésta genera después de su edificación.
“La gestión sustentable del agua en la arquitectura y el urbanismo”, redactado por José Arturo Gleason Espíndola, muestra la problemática actual ocasionada en nuestras ciudades por el desconocimiento del ciclo del agua como sistema natural.
