Abstract

Of the many questionnaires given to Society members at the Radiologists-Manufacturers Committee booth, only 66 radiologists completed and returned “the materials. Inquiries concerned three general topics: (a) identification of problems in x-ray department operations; (b) the radiologist's evaluation of new developments; and (c) criteria on which he bases his choice of new equipment. It appears that equipment breakdown is the greatest problem and there is complete unanimity of opinion that reliability and availability of service are of utmost importance in selection of equipment. Pluridirectional tomography was rated the most significant new concept. The Committee will repeat the study in 1974.
