Abstract

Under the auspices and sponsorship of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) the 3rd ISE Satellite Student Regional Symposium on Electrochemistry in Ukraine (3rd ISE SSRSEU 2018) was held on 18th April, 2018 at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Kyiv, Ukraine. This symposium continued the remarkable tradition of holding such important events for Ukraine in 2016 and 2017 in the framework of cooperation with ISE.Such important for Ukraine scientific event has initiated the preparation of these Proceedings, which considers the promising materials and processes in the following main directions of applied electrochemistry: electrochemical power sources (1), electroplating (2), corrosion protection (3), electrochemical sensors (4), modern related materials and technologies (5).The following major developments are only some examples of many more contributions to these Proceedings: novel composite ceramic for high temperature fuel cells; cathode, anode and electrolyte materials for lithium-ion batteries; protective coatings and inhibitors for corrosion defense of metals; sorbents for removal of chromate anions; sensors for environmental monitoring; obtaining the pure ultrafine magnetite for different applications, etc.A state of art in the above mentioned directions (1) - (5) determines substantially a progress in general development of science and technologies of XXI century and already now promotes to creation of essentially new types of materials, equipment and technologies
