Abstract
Gender bias within surgical subspecialties is striking and multifactorial in nature.1 Identification of potential upstream causes is important to shift trends towards diversity in medical education and surgical trainees. This study astutely quantifies the gender representation from mainstream information sources, where a significantly higher proportion of men are featured in educational content rendering a larger viewership for male educators and narrators. From the author's analysis and interpretation, gender bias amongst urologic educational content may impact the pipeline of trainees into formal medical training.
