Abstract

The authors present 4 initial cases of robotic radical perineal prostatectomy (RPP), a feat for which they must be commended. 1 Kaouk J.H. Akca O. Zargar H. et al. Descriptive technique and initial results for robotic radical perineal prostatectomy. In an era where RPP has essentially vanished from clinical practice, these authors have demonstrated its feasibility with the use of a readily available robotic platform. The real question is no longer whether robotic RPP is feasible, but whether if it is indicated. And if so, when?
