Abstract
This manuscript details the multi-institutional experience with a device, the Adjustable TransObturator Male System (ATOMS––third generation), designed as an alternative to the standard surgical options for male stress urinary incontinence, an unfortunate but not infrequent complication associated with prior prostatectomy, mainly but not exclusively performed for the treatment of prostate cancer. In contrast to standard management with either a male sling or artificial urinary sphincter, this device purports to allow adequate compression of the bulbous urethra without the need for mechanical cycling when using the latter.
