Abstract
Tenggardjaja et al1 report on a survey instrument, developed by 3 experts in female pelvic health, administered to new patients presenting to tertiary referral center for incontinence (73%) or pelvic organ prolapse. They conclude that 2 of 3 patients were aware of the US Food and Drug Administration's warning and half of those who answered the particular question believed there was a recall related to the mesh. They further state that 108 of 156 listed television (TV) advertisements as the source of the information.
