Abstract

In this article, the authors examine the effect of a bladder sling (created using a single suspending Vicryl suture) on the early return of continence after robotic prostatectomy. The study was a well-devised blinded prospective randomized study, involving 27 patients in the sling group and 30 patients in the control group. All patients had puboprostatic preservation and double-layered posterior rhabdosphincter reconstruction. For assessing continence, the study has included both subjective and objective measures.
