Abstract

Editor's Note Natalia Aponiuk Due to an error in the process of publishing the last issue of Canadian Ethnic Studies/Études ethniques au Canada (vol. 40, no. 2, 2008), part of the Editor's Note was omitted. It is printed below in its entirety. This special themes issue, The Experiences of Second-Generation Canadian Youth, had its origin in a session organized by Dr. Evangelia Tastsoglou for the Tenth National Metropolis Conference. Selected papers from this session were supplemented by other submissions to provide an examination of second-generation Canadian youth from a number of perspectives, as discussed in the introduction by Professor Tastsoglou, who served as guest associate editor for this issue. I would like to thank Dr. Tastsoglou, who is professor and chair of Sociology and Criminology at Saint Mary's University, for her work on and contribution to this issue. I would also like to thank all the contributors who shared their research with us, as well as the anonymous reviewers who take the time to help to ensure that the journal maintains its academic standards. On behalf of Canadian Ethnic Studies/Études ethniques au Canada, I gratefully acknowledge the financial support for this special issue by the following: • the Atlantic Metropolis Centre at Saint Mary's University and • the Prairie Metropolis Centre at the University of Alberta.
