Abstract
Dear Readers, In view of the passing away of our friend and colleague Prof. Domenico Mimmo Grimaldi, about which you read in the previous few pages, I write this end of year message with a degree of sadness. Although TIM has had an outstanding year, the joy and satisfaction of that is now mixed with sorrow. But, knowing Mimmo, I am sure that he would have been very happy for TIM's excellent achievements this year, because he was always very proud to be part of TIM and the greater IMS family. So, this year, we dedicate these achievements to him, starting with our main focus: the quality of the journal.
