Abstract

Since 1620 when Los Sirgueros de la Virgen was printed by the Mexican editor Juan Alcazar, the book had remained unpublished in its integral version until the edition released in late 2013. In 1944 Agustín Yáñez presses an incomplete version of the novel which has been the main transmission channel of the work so far. The following article will focus on Yáñez’s silences and omissions.
