Abstract

Edith Kramer was a film curator who directed the Pacific Film Archive (PFA) for over twenty years. In 2014, Kathy Geritz interviewed Kramer about her distinctive vision and practice of film curatorship. On the occasion of the PFA’s 50th anniversary, Geritz provides edited excerpts from those conversations, which clearly reveal how for Kramer, film curating was not just a career, but a lifetime calling.
