Abstract

In multilaminated objects the capacitive couplings between the magnetic layers can allow the circulation of eddy currents even if the thickness of the magnetic film is small in comparison with the skin depth. These currents alter the magnetic response in frequency domain and introduce permeance resonances. In this paper the authors describe an improvement of their circuital model able to calculate the value and the effects of eddy currents in multilaminated magnetic thin films. Using this model it is possible to obtain a prediction of the effective permeability trend which is more accurate than that obtained by previous circuital approaches, as the acceptable degree of agreement with experimental observations demonstrates.
