Abstract

Rhabdomyomatous mesenchymal hamartoma (RMH) is a rare congenital lesion occurring predominantly in the skin, particularly of the face and neck. 1 Magro G. Di Benedetto A. Sanges G. et al. Rhabdomyomatous mesenchymal hamartoma of oral cavity: An unusual location for such a rare lesion. Virchows Arch. 2005; 446: 346 Crossref PubMed Scopus (28) Google Scholar The etiology of RMH is still unknown; possible explanations include aberrancy in the embryonic migration of mesodermally derived tissues or a genetic defect predisposing to the formation of this abnormality. 2 Rosenberg A.S.
