Abstract

of English Language Learning at Utah Valley University (UVU) explored issues of sustainability and resource management in connection with Capitol Reef National Park, a three-hour drive away. During a four-day trip taken every semester, students practiced sustainable habits, observing their low environmental impact firsthand. Since the park is without Internet or phone services, students also practiced being digitally disconnected.
