Abstract

Due to lack of fossil fuel, Microgrid with hybrid energy system and interconnection of different types of loads is rapidly developed in the recent years. In this respect, this work introduces the economic scheduling of Microgrid with renewable energy resources. The power level of different energy resources is measured and compared with the power which is needed for successful operation. In the case of an overvoltage, the system automatically operates the load according to the voltage capacity, but if any source is not available then the system automatically shifts on the AC source supply. This can be explained as the first load is satisfied by solar system till its maximum capacity is reached hence the load is shifted to wind system followed by the combination of both solar and wind then finally by the utility (main grid). If generating power from the renewable source is more than the demand then surplus power will be sold out to the utility. For the economical purpose, the single Lead acid battery is used which is charged by a solar panel and wind turbine. A microgrid which is integrated with the solar system, wind system, and main supply is investigated by PROTEUS Software. Therefore an idea of non-conventional energy generation and control the grid automation system has been given. So the whole system is designed in such a manner that it is economical as well as efficient.
