Abstract
The All-Union Center for the Study of Public Opinion on Socioeconomic Questions attached to the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and the USSR State Committee for Labor (VTsIOM) carried out a sociological study in October 1989 to determine the attitudes of the population toward economic reform. The researchers were VTsIOM associates V. Rutgaizer, A. Grazhdankin, V. Kosmarskii, L. Khakhulina, and S. Shpil'ko.
