Abstract

In the present stage of communist construction and in the more distant future, among the most important economic problems are the acceleration of the rate of development of agriculture, the raising of its effectiveness, and the creation of the agricultural potential that is necessary for the full and uninterrupted satisfaction of all of the nation's needs for high-quality agricultural products. The importance and urgency of resolving these problems stem from the fact that approximately three-fourths of the public consumption fund is formed from agricultural products and commodities that are produced from agricultural raw materials. While in the future this share will gradually decline due to the significant expansion of the assortment of consumer goods of nonagricultural origin and the development of the service sphere, nonetheless, in the foreseeable future it will continue to be quite significant, and moreover, its absolute per capita volume will grow.
