Abstract

This article thoroughly investigates how the United States and Japan managed relatively better than Europe to emerge from the crisis that caused a deep recession in 2009. The author also proposes a new political agenda for the European area, as he calls it, which would favor economic recovery and sustainable development in the next decade, similar to that witnessed by the other two countries.
