Abstract

In the absence of centralized supply and allocation of X-ray equipment and under conditions of funding cuts the problem of economic expediency of purchase of given X-ray diagnostic is of paramount importance [1]. The goal of this work was to discuss advantages of digital photoroentgenography over conventional X-ray film technology. The practical purpose of this work is to provide information required for adequate choice of a photoroentgenographic device. To determine the cost of a photoroentgenographic picture consider the structure of the photoroentgenographic room designed to obtain conventional X-ray film or digital images (Figs. 1-3). The elements of the diagrams are explained in Table 1.
