Abstract

Inventory management system is investigated in the article. Inventory management and size control is analyzed by the authors. According to study results, it was found that existing programs lack the ability to manage inventory and logistics at trade enterprise based on the consignments optimal size. Economic and mathematical modeling and modern computer technologies means usage for inventory management logistic system improvement at one of the auto-dealers in Poltava is suggested by the authors. The calculations are performed according to models taking into account the demand for goods, order and storage in stock, time delivery. Software module for merchandiseinventory level automating modeling in the language of VBA is also developed. The proposed economic and mathematical models provide the opportunity to use financial resources more efficiently for the inventory formation and reduce losses from commodity deficiency. The program module can be used to substantiate operational management decisions regarding order size and stocks placement moment, as well as forecasting the need for a certain range of goods for the future period. Consequently, the use of stochastic models and modern computer technology can improve the competitiveness and increase trade enterprise profit.
