Abstract

The evolution of the economic activity carried out by domestic companies recently was significantly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, which generated an unprecedented slowdown in economic activities due to quarantine, social distancing, movement restrictions, etc. The economic effects of these phenomena are obviously reflected in the financial statements of the economic agents in the Republic of Moldova, whose activity efficiency was seriously affected. As a result, the entrepreneurs recorded economic losses, generated by the decrease in sales revenue, amplified by the increase in production costs. These challenges have forced entrepreneurs to identify solutions adapted to the socio-economic situation radically changed by this pandemic, able to minimize the negative economic effects.
