Abstract
Indian court always efficaciously established the importance of protecting the suffering of women from economic abuse, inspite of that still the term economic abuse causing rigmarole in the society. In this article we did a perusal of certain ongoing confusion based on Economic abuse. We’ve elucidated this concept with respect to the provision of Domestic violence under the Hindu Marriage. Economic abuse isn’t a propriety behaviour but still many women are suffering by the same. Grant of maintenance to wife has been perceived as a measure of social justice by the Indian Court. Many enunciation of law concluded that once husband is an able bodied person he cannot simply deny his legal obligation to maintain his wife. We’ll also discuss the concept within the ambit of Judgements given by various Indian Courts. Statistics of various data collected in this research will help you to analyze the importance of delineating and abolish this Practice.
