Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect the probability of being poor by a measurement method that includes the social dimensions of “women” in Antalya, the southern city of Türkiye. For this purpose, a field study was conducted among 400 working women in Antalya and the data set obtained from this study formed the basis of the analysis. In the study, the ordinal logit method was employed to determine the probability of women being poor. In light of the findings, it can be stated that in the fight against women's poverty, prioritizing the areas related to empowerment, safety and especially education, as well as improvements in income and employment, can provide positive outcomes.
