Abstract

Tree holes are produced due to environmental factors as well as biotic pressure.  It is a unique habitat for insect breeding and survival. Water-filled tree-holes or their analogs are natural microcosms because of their relative simplicity in habitat structure, small size, discrete boundaries, and naturally replicated nature.  The present investigation was carried out with aim of the ecology of tree holes from the different tree species with diversity and distribution of insect larvae.
