Abstract

7. An abrupt increase in effectiveness took place between October 6 and November 4. The increase in effectiveness in November appears to have been associated with an increase in soil moisture and a decrease in air temperature. The trees remained sensitive throughout the winter and spring months. ILITERATURB CITED AREND, J. L. AND L. L. COULTE. 1953. Chemical frill girdling for pine release in lower Michigan.
