Abstract
The analysis of invariably high concentrations of heavy metals in domestic wastewater sludge has been performed on the basis of the urban ecosystem concept, and the origination mechanism of this phenomenon was proposed. The content of heavy metals in solid phase of aerobically stabilized and dewatered sludges was determined, and the results obtained were compared with clarkes of elements in the agricultural soils of Ukraine.
