Abstract
We consider changes in the hydrological regime of the Tsagaan Nuur reservoir located on the Caspian lowlands from its creation to the present moment. The research shows a drop in water quality in recent years that is due to changes in the hydrological regime. An indicator of the chemical pollution of water (PCP-10) was calculated for Tsagaan Nuur reservoir, based on which the present ecological condition of the reservoir was estimated as an environmental emergency.
