Abstract
AbstractImplementing ecological migration is a major strategic step of the party committee and government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region toward coordinating urban–rural development and building a harmonious socialist society. It is an important practice of deepening the West Development Initiative and an important approach for benefiting special disadvantaged populations and helping them get rid of poverty and become better off. In essence, the ecological migration project of Ningxia has lived up to the basic spirit of the five-in-one construction objective (i.e., economy, politics, society, culture, and ecological civilization) in the Report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
