Abstract

Every year the problem of disposal and utilization of waste from livestock complexes is becoming more and more severe. Organic waste can significantly harm the environment if it is not properly treated and stored. Without proper processing of organic waste, they are objects of increased concentrations of pollutants, as well as a favorable environment for pathogenic organisms. Most of the participants of the livestock market pay little attention to this issue, economizing on places of disposal and utilization of organic and other wastes associated with livestock farms, as a result, in places of waste discharge contamination of soil resources, groundwater and located near water bodies occurs. To minimize the damage from such violations, it is necessary to monitor the surrounding areas of livestock farms. In this work an environmental assessment of the territories adjacent to the livestock farms located in Kaliningrad region was carried out.
