Abstract

The pasture of Åžurdești village is situated in the north-west of Maramures County, at 600- 900 meters altitude, on slightly sloped soils (5-30 0). The present study aims to research the preferences of the species of a vegetal association, Festuco rubrae - Agrostietum capillaris Horvat 1951, for the main environmental factors: humidity (U), air temperature (T), and soil reaction (R). The analysis of ecological groups contributes to a better understanding of the adaptive and evolutionary process of plant communities in relation to environmental factors. The ecological characteristics of the plant association will be explained according to pedoclimatic conditions and based on the analysis of the response of species to the environment condition, in order to take corrective measures for agricultu re’s improvement. The floristic composition is large (74 species) in 10 relevé analyzed. The ecological spectrum emphasizes a dominance of mesophilic species (37.84%) in the vegetal association. Reported to the heat index there are micro-mesothermal plants (43.24%), followed by amphitolerant species 37.84%, and reported to the chemical reactions in the soil euriionic species (56.76%) to weak acid-neutrophil species (16.22%) are distinguished. In the Romanian Carpathians the meadows with Festuca rubra and Agrostis capillaris have a wide spread, with
