Abstract

A simple and rapid synthetic methodology for gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) was developed using the extracts of Inonotus obliquus (Chaga mushroom) at room temperature without the use of deleterious agents. The AuNPs were spherical, triangle, hexagonal, and rod shaped with a mean diameter of 23nm. The eco-friendly synthesized AuNPs showed excellent antibacterial, antioxidant, and cytotoxicity against the MCF-1 human breast cancer cell line and NCI-N87 human stomach cancer cell line.
