Abstract
This work presents the power control and energy management in hybrid wind/hydrogen production system connected to the grid. In which all control system and energy management are based on echo state networks. Production system is composed of wind turbine generator and hydrogen fuel production system. Power generates from wind conversion injected in the grid and the surplus used for water electrolysis to produce hydrogen and stored in the tank for user in the necessary. Maximum power point tracking method for wind turbine and a simple cascade control loop of DC-DC converter operating hydrogen fuel generator to ensure maximum power and controlling DC Bus voltage are ensured via two intelligent ESN controllers. Energy management control unite is implemented via ESN in order to improve the power flow control, benefit the storage of the hydrogen and maximizing the use of the renewable energy. Operating model of the proposed grid connected power generation system is simulated using Matlab-Simulink where obtund results prove the efficiency of the proposed control and energy management.
