Abstract

Problem Statement: The problems that is faced during bringing up children decreases parents’self-efficacy. In this process parents should be supported. Purpose of the Study: The research analyzes the effect of “Parent Education Program” on mothers’parental selfefficacy. Procedure: The research is an experimental study based on a single group pretest-posttest and follow up model. Parent Education Program, consisted 7 sessions, has been applied to experimental group. To gather data, Parental Self-Efficacy Scale was used. For analysis of data, “Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test” was used. Results and Conclusions: The results of the research shows that “Parent Education Program” increases mothers’parental self-efficacy significantly. And this increase is permanent. Recommendations: The findings show that “Parent Education Program” can be used for increasing primary school childrens mothers’parental self-efficacy.
