Abstract

The objective was to demonstrate the effects of the global health contingency on the practice of street eating in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora, as well as the strategies adopted by the establishments to achieve their permanence. From a socio-anthropological and qualitative approach, we worked with street food businesses during the second and third stages of the health emergency in Mexico. These businesses have shown great adaptability and resilience deployed in various strategies, in line with their ability; being the electronic media such as Facebook and WhatsApp prevailing for their permanence, as well as the commensal themselves.
