Abstract

In this research, it was studied systematically and ecologically, the Oligochaetofauna of the mountainous mass of Pella province, southwest region, and Imathia province, northwest region. From the studies of soil analysis in the region of Pella province and from pH measurements we conclude the following : a) The more the organic matter and carbon in a biotope, the more the number of species we found in this (Table I). The reverse is happened with the increation of silt-clay percentage, e.g. the number of species decreases. As regard the percentage of sand we observed a relational increase of the number of species. Finally, in pH measurements, it was observed that some species are tolerant in a wide range of pH. These species we mention as ubiquitus.
