Abstract

On 23 June 1985 the Air India Jetliner Jet 182 crashed into the sea 110 miles off the coast of Ireland shortly after a scheduled position check with the Cork Airport Control Tower. The 747 jetliner was on a scheduled flight between Montreal, Canada and Bombay, India. On the same day, there were explosions in the luggage handling facilities at the Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan, while luggage was being unloaded from an Air India flight that also originated in Montreal, Canada.
