Abstract

Aim. To identify the causes of the modern civilizational crisis between East and West, to determine a strategy for overcoming it.Methodology. To achieve this goal, the work uses a wide range of general scientific methods and political science approaches: dialectical, axiological, structural-functional, historicism, analysis and synthesis.Results. The author comes to the conclusion that in the conditions of aggravation of the global problems of modern world associated with the revaluation of the social existence values and, as a consequence, the socio-cultural egocentrism of East and West, it is necessary to develop a new paradigm of intercivilizational relations based on the unshakable cultural values.Research implications. The theoretical and/or practical significance of the research lies in an integrated approach to the intercivilizational problems and the formulation of proposals to overcome the modern planetary crisis through a constructive dialogue of macrocultures, the formation of a global civilization based on true virtues and basic human values.
