Abstract

The Oxford Projected Atlas: Asia consists of selected maps from Oxford University Press atlases, and includes physical maps of East Asia, China and Japan. The Far East has a black outline, and sea and rivers in blue, while Asia has three layers: outline, rivers, lakes, national boundaries; relief; and blank for teachers own additions. Eastern World 'provides an up-to-date picture of this important area'. China in Maps, ed. H. Fullard is a book of twenty-five colour maps showing historical, political, geographical and economic aspects of China. The China Problem must also be listed among materials on the Communist period because six of the lectures are on China since 1949. The only film available on the Mongol period is Ghengis Khan, which stars Omar Sharif as the conqueror. China Pictorial and China Reconstructs are periodicals containing colour and black and white photographs. The Japanese Information Centre provides free or on free loan a variety of materials.
