Abstract
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis, a spectrum of chronic arthritis in children may involve the cervical spine, though it is not as common as in rheumatoid arthritis in adults. Many children may remain asymptomatic.MRI should be done, even if asymptomatic, to detect early changes and aggressive treatment started. Early symptomatic cervical spine involvement is quite rare in children with JIA.
